Common Uniform Measurements for Men and Women

Below are instruction on how to get the perfect measurement for each body part or area. Please use a flexible tape measure to ensure an accurate measurement.

  • Neck: Measure around your neck just below your larynx and above your collar bone.
  • Chest: Wrap the measuring tape under your arms and around the fullest part of your chest.
  • Waist: Measure above your hips along your natural waist. Usually around your bellybutton.
  • Sleeve: Start the measurement at the center of your neck's back and then across the shoulder down to the cuff or just below your wrist.
  • Inseam: Start at the crotch seam and then run down the leg to the top of your shoes. You can always measure a similar pant that fits you well.
  • Bust: Very similar to the men's chest measurement. Measure around your back to the fullest part of your chest.
  • Hip: Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bottom.
